The countdown to Christmas is officially on – and here at Longbow Venues, we’re making sure your festive season is one to remember. From indulgent dining and Afternoon Teas to private parties and Santa-filled events, our venues across the Peak District are the perfect place to eat, drink and be merry this December.

Festive Menus: Two or Three Courses of Seasonal Magic

Nothing says Christmas like a table filled with good food. Our chefs have created a 2 or 3 course festive menu (from £31 per person, available 28th November – 31st December) that captures the very best of the season – using ingredients from trusted Peak District suppliers.

Starters range from a velvety celeriac & chestnut soup to comforting slow-cooked pork belly or a crisp goat’s cheese & cranberry croquette. For mains, you’ll find everything from the traditional roast turkey with all the to rich braised beef blade in Bourguignon sauce, or a light and elegant pan-fried cod.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without something sweet: from a nostalgic sticky toffee pudding to a jewel-bright winter pavlova. Whether you’re keeping it classic or trying something new, every dish has been designed to deliver provenance, flavour and festive sparkle.

Festive Afternoon Tea: Cosy by the Fire

Afternoon Tea feels extra magical in December, especially when it comes with a festive twist. Served Monday to Saturday throughout December, our Festive Afternoon Tea (£22 per person, £26.50 with fizz) is the perfect way to press pause on the Christmas chaos.

Expect turkey with pork & cranberry stuffing sandwiches, indulgent pigs in blankets with brie and chutney, or for vegetarians, seasonal classics like brie & cranberry or hummus with roasted vegetables.

The sweet tier brings its own delights, including cranberry scones with clotted cream and jam, rich chocolate brownies, dainty mini pavlovas and of course a slice of traditional Christmas cake.

Pair it with a pot of tea, fresh coffee, or a glass of bubbles and you’ve got yourself an afternoon that’s festive, indulgent and thoroughly relaxing.

We have a selection of festive menus running throughout December, specially curated by our skilled head chef. The menu features festive dishes created using seasonal ingredients and quality local produce.

This year, we are celebrating New Year’s Eve with a fantastic tasting menu featuring eight extraordinary courses. Priced at £135 per person (if booking before 1st December), with the option of a wine flight (£75 per person), it’s the perfect way to welcome 2026 in elegant surroundings.
