Winter walks from our doorsteps
If you are looking to stretch your legs and clear your head, some of the best Peak District walks start just moments from our venues. Even in winter, the landscape has a raw beauty, with rolling hills, winding rivers and villages that feel timeless.
Over the festive season we shared a selection of our favourite local routes, all chosen for their scenery and their proximity to somewhere warm and welcoming at the finish.

The routes, taken from the Lets Go Peak District website, link classic countryside paths with the comfort of our restaurants and bars, making them perfect for a crisp winter day.
At this time of year, it is worth wrapping up well and wearing sturdy footwear as paths can be muddy and slippery.
The reward, of course, is knowing that a roaring fire, a comforting lunch or a well-earned drink is waiting for you at the end.

Our next wedding showcase takes place on Sunday 22nd February from 12pm to 3pm. The showcase offers a relaxed and intimate opportunity to see The Maynard fully styled for a wedding and meet our experienced team.
