Longbow Young Chef of the Year: Showcasing our rising culinary stars

Everybody loves a bit of friendly competition, and at Longbow Venues our chefs never shy away from a challenge.

We recently brought together the brightest talents from across our venues for the Longbow Young Chef of the Year competition – a friendly but fierce showcase of skill, creativity and flair.

In our bustling prep kitchen, the air was filled with energy and the aroma of something special. Each of our chefs were tasked with creating a main course and a dessert that would impress our judging panel and reflect their individuality.

From beautifully balanced flavours to inventive presentation, the dishes spoke for themselves.

It was a close-run contest, with every entrant showing passion and technical precision beyond their years. After much deliberation, our judges crowned this year’s winners:

🥇 Anel
🥈 Ben
🥉 Joe

Their creativity and attention to detail set them apart and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Competitions like this give our young chefs the chance to grow, learn from one another and continue developing their craft. This is a huge part of what makes dining at Longbow Venues such a memorable experience.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our prize sponsors, Holdsworth Chocolates and The Burnt Chef Project.

  • Holdsworth Chocolates, based locally in Bakewell, are known for their exquisite handmade confections that embody craftsmanship and indulgence.
  • The Burnt Chef Project is a non-profit dedicated to supporting mental health and wellbeing across the hospitality industry, a cause we’re proud to stand behind.

The Longbow Young Chef of the Year competition celebrates not just great food but the people and passion behind it. It reflects our commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging creativity and delivering the kind of dining experiences that keep guests coming back.
