Longbow’s Long Service Awards

While Longbow Venues is a relatively young and new company (founded in 2019 and began trading in 2020) we know that hospitality can be a very fast-moving and fluid sector. That’s why it is important to us to reward long periods of service. We reward our staff for 1, 3 and 5 years of service with rewards in the future for 10 and 15 years of service as follows;

1 years’ service
Enjoy a bottle of fizz to mark the occasion and receive a gift and personal message from managing director, Rob Hattersley.

3 years’ service
Take advantage of an extra days’ holiday going forward, as well as a hamper and a voucher for a restaurant experience at a Longbow venue.

5 years’ service
To mark the occasion, another extra day of holiday will be added to your accrual, you can enjoy an overnight stay with dinner with drinks at a Longbow venue in addition to a fully stocked hamper and card from Rob.

10 years’ service
At this remarkable milestone, you will be taken away on holiday in Europe by the head office team, and as if that wasn’t enough, you will receive a further week’s holiday added to your accrual.

15 years’ service
For the incredible 15-year mark you will be given a full month off work with full pay!

Longbow Venues was formed as a direct act of rebellion against what we believed to be unethical and morale-draining practices with staff in the hospitality sector. We coined our ethos ‘People over profits, always’ to encapsulate our mission to do hospitality differently – with our people at the heart of every decision.

Long Service Awards, April 2025

Every quarter we have a long service awards celebration in the Chatsworth Suite at The Maynard. All staff are invited to join us for a drink and to celebrate those who have passed the 1, 3 and this time, the 5-year milestones.

Gifts include wine, Parker pens, luxury chocolates, hampers containing the best of local Peak District produce and vouchers for celebratory meals and overnight stays to enjoy, on us.

For the April 2025 long service awards, Operations Director, Stephen Atkinson, hosted the event and celebrated our teams from The Maynard, The George Hathersage and for the first time, The Ashford Arms which opened a year ago.

We also celebrated first days and welcomed new team members from The Peacock at Owler Bar and The Peacock at Rowsley to the Longbow family.
