Longbow Venues Win at the Generation Next Awards 2024

Longbow Venues recently achieved significant recognition at the East Midlands Chamber Generation Next Awards, an event that celebrates the achievements of young professionals and entrepreneurs across the region under the age of 35. This year, the spotlight was on Longbow Venues with four nominations and two wins. We were praised for our dedication to innovation, leadership, and support for young talent.

 

 

Stephen Atkinson – Recognised for Entrepreneurial Excellence

Stephen Atkinson, the operations director of Longbow Venues, was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year. This award acknowledged Stephen’s leadership and innovative contributions to Longbow’s rapid growth and continued success. Steve’s hard work within the hospitality industry and his passion for changing the way hospitality nurtures and retains staff was recognised.

 

Additionally, he was shortlisted for the Customer Service Award, reflecting his commitment to providing exceptional experiences for clients and guests.

 

 

Longbow Venues – Investing in Young Talent

Longbow Venues received the Investing in Young Talent Award, recognising the company’s efforts to support and develop young professionals. Jack Arksey, the talent and succession manager at Longbow Venues, collected the award, highlighting the importance the company places on training, mentorship, internal progression and creating opportunities for career growth. This ensures a positive and encouraging environment for young employees.

 

 

Jemima Prater – Rising Star

Jemima Prater, from The Maynard, was shortlisted for the Rising Star award. This nomination acknowledges Jemima’s potential and dedication to her hospitality career. The Maynard is known for its excellent food, drink, hotel, events and impeccable customer service.

 

Jemima’s dedication to her team and her training methods and incentives keep optimising her team and their enjoyment in their roles. Jemima’s recognition reflects the supportive atmosphere at Longbow Venues that allows young professionals to flourish.
